Parking Information
Parking on Campus
Free parking is available on a first come, first served basis. Visitors and students may park in unmarked stalls in parking lots A-E.
Parking permits are required for parking lot A, Monday through Friday 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Parking permits are not required for unmarked stalls in parking lots B, C, D and E. Due to limited parking, no one is guaranteed a parking space.
Additional Parking Options
Through the generosity of the Diamond Head Theatre on Makapuu Avenue, additional parking is available behind the theatre. There is also parking on the side streets near the college.
Visitor Parking
Visitors may park in any unrestricted (unmarked) stall in parking lots B, C, D, and E. No permit is necessary. Visitors parking in lot A or in restricted (marked) stalls must have a permit.
Staff and faculty may request a permit for their visitors by calling 808.734.9157.
Faculty & Staff Parking
Parking stalls marked "Staff" are reserved for vehicles with staff permits (M-F 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.). Staff parking is available in parking lot E, along the service roads, and in the first row closest to the buildings (parking lots A-D).
Parking for Persons with Disabilities
All persons with disabilities with a current State of Hawaii, Department of Transportation Disabled Persons Parking Permit issued by the City and County of Honolulu are allowed to park in spaces designated for the disabled and in other parking areas not reserved for faculty, staff, and visitors.
Vehicles violating this requirement are subject to a campus parking citation, a Honolulu Police Department citation, and towing at the owner's expense. Parking in stalls for the disabled is restricted 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Kapiolani Community College parking permits do not authorize parking in these stalls.
If disabled parking stalls are not available, call campus security at 808.734.9900 for assistance.
Parking for Motorcycles, Mopeds, and Bicycles
There are authorized parking areas for motorcycles, mopeds, and bicycles behind the Ohia building and near the Koa and Kauila buildings. Parking is not permitted on the campus malls.
