Maida Kamber Center for Career Exploration, Transfer & Graduation Services
The Maida Kamber Center has a counseling team available to help students with Career Exploration, Transfer & Graduation Services.
We are available for Walk-In Counseling Monday-Thursday, 8:30am - 4:30pm, unless otherwise specified due to professional development meetings. Walk-In Counseling is appropriate for students who expect to see a counselor for approximately 15 minutes. The counselors rotate their availability for Walk-In Counseling; if you would prefer to see a specific counselor, you can send an email to confirm when they would be available.
Common reasons for a Walk-In Counseling Session:
- To review the requirements still needed for the Liberal Arts or ASNS degrees
- To understand the requirements for transferring
- To create an Academic Plan (a plan of courses to take each semester)
Career Exploration:
Do you need assistance in selecting a major? Our office has multiple resources that can help you. We have career exploration programs, inventories on skills and interests, and much more. Let us help you select a major, perfect for you to begin your academic pathway to success!
Transfer Services:
Do you have plans to transfer from KCC to another institution? Whether it is UH Manoa, UH West Oahu, UH Hilo, or elsewhere... we can help you construct a plan for you to best utilize your time spent at KCC. We partner with colleges, universities, departments and programs, for our transfer students to be prepared for the next steps in their academic pathway! Graduation Services:
Do you plan to earn your Associate Degree from KCC? We are equipped to help you understand where you are on your pathway to graduation. Our office serves students in the following programs: AA in Liberal Arts, AS in Natural Sciences (Life Science, Physical Science, and Pre-Engineering), and AA in Hawaiian Studies.
