Associate in Science in Accounting
Upon satisfactory completion of 60 credits, the student earns an Associate in Science degree. Graduates are prepared to perform at the paraprofessional level in public accounting; act (in a supervised environment) as a full charge bookkeeper or tax preparer; or independently administer an AIS subsystem, such as Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Inventory, Fixed Assets, Payroll, etc.
Curriculum
The AS in Accounting requires satisfactory completion of 60 credits.
The requirements listed in the catalog at the time of entry into theprogram are the ones you must fulfill for graduation. You also have theoption to meet the requirements listed in subsequent catalogs. However,if you choose this option, you cannot combine requirements from two ormore catalogs. For example, if you entered the program in fall 2004,you can fulfill the requirements in either the fall 2004 catalog or thefall 2005 catalog. However, you cannot combine requirements from both.
If you leave the program for a semester or more, you must fulfill therequirements in effect at the time of or subsequent to your re-entry.For example, if you entered the program in fall 2004, took a hiatus inspring 2005, and returned in fall 2005, you must fulfill therequirements in the catalog for fall 2005 or later.
